Yokogawa Flowmeter:
The electric field in the liquid generates an electric charge on the plate electrode outside the ceramic tube due to electrostatic induction, and the capacitive electromagnetic flowmeter can detect the electric charge as a voltage. The conventional electromagnetic flowmeter cannot measure low conductivity liquid below 5μS/cm, and the capacitive electromagnetic flowmeter can stably measure low conductivity liquid (0.01μS/cm or more) such as pure water, syrup, alcohol, etc. The electrode, so in theory no mud noise will occur, is an epoch-making flow meter.

Measuring principle:
The law of Faraday (1791 to 1867) is utilized, that is, when a liquid flows through a magnetic field, the electromotive force generated by electromagnetic induction is proportional to the flow velocity. According to the right-hand rule of Fleming (1849-1945), the direction of the electromotive force is at right angles to both the liquid flow direction and the magnetic field direction. The generated electromotive force can be measured by a pair of electrodes mounted in the measuring tube.

Conversion section:
The alternating charge generated by the two piezoelectric elements is converted into an alternating voltage by each of the charging converters. These voltages are cancelled by the adder to cancel the noise caused by the vibration of the circuit, and then pass through the low-pass filter to enter the Schmitt trigger circuit. The output of the Schmitt trigger circuit becomes a pulse sequence corresponding to the frequency of vortex generation. These pulse sequences are converted into a voltage by the transformer T2 after entering the F/V converter, and a current of 4-20 mA is output from the DC amplifier and the power transistor Q1.
